History

The Centre was formed at Milingimbi 23 August 1943. On 30 March 1944, four Boomerang aircraft were scrambled to intercept enemy aircraft which had been tracked by 308, 312 and 321 Radar Stations, but no contact was made. The Centre was relocated to Gove by air 3 April 1944 and was operational within 2 days. The Centre was disbanded 21 January 1945.,
